Stewards Comments:
TRACK JESTER slow into stride. JUGAHTRICE jockey and trainer were questioned regarding the running of the gelding. Trainer explained that he had instructed jockey to settle the gelding back in field and as the gelding could only sustain a short run, he should attempt to improve from the 600m. Jockey confirmed these instructions and explained that at the 600m, after a slowly run race, the gelding had failed to quicken and on straightening the gelding, when ridden along with the whip, had improved but had tired on its run inside the 200m. A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. KIM STORM inconvenienced passing 1400m. SHANE'S BOY carried wide near 1400m. CLAN NOBLE inconvenienced passing 1400m. JAUNTY LAD bumped at start, restrained passing 1400m when rider slowed pace, carry inwards at 180m. OLD NICK bumped at start. SECRET LINK lay inwards passing 200m.
