Stewards Comments:
STARJAH buffeted on straightening. POWER PATROL held up on straightening. SECCHIO buffeted on straightening. AMSTERDAM CAFE shortly after the start veered inwards sharply and broke through the running rail dislodging its rider, who took an apparent harmless fall. Trainer was advised that the gelding would have to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. Due to this incident and its previous poor performance Trainer was advised to estrict the gelding's future racing to the Provincial or Country areas. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a minor laceration to the near fore arm. FLYING MAK lay outwards on straightening having to be steadied when shifting outwards across the heels of another runner. Trainer was advised to take steps to improve the gelding's racing manner. Returned having cast its off fore plate during running. WICKED WILL slow into stride. Lay inwards over the final 150m with the rider being unable to ride the gelding out fully. Trainer was advised to take steps to rectify the gelding's racing manners.
