Stewards Comments: IMPECCABLE KNIGHT held up from the 400m until approaching the 200m. When questioned rider stated that the gelding was best suited when ridden patiently in the early stages as it has a tendency to over-race. She further advised that she was unable to improve her position from the 600m due to being positioned to the inside of other runners and consequently could not secure a clear passage until near the 200m. PEPPI'S PRIDE when questioned regarding the performance, rider advised that the mare was under pressure prior to straightening. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with an abrasion to the off hip and a laceration to the off fore pastern. Trainer advised that the mare would now be spelled. NEVABAWC rider advised that the gelding had not run on as expected in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a minor laceration to the near hind fetlock. MOONSCAPE slow into stride and was blocked for the entire length of the straight.
