Stewards Comments:
CHACHI held tight near the 600m and again passing the 250m and was crowded passing the 75m and eased over the final stages. CENTRUM steadied on straightening and got its head up. When questioned rider advised that she had been instructed to position the gelding off the pace but her mount had got further back in the field than anticipated due to the fast early pace. Trainer stated that that he had instructed the rider not to urge the gelding along after jumping as in its recent starts it has over-raced in the early stages. He further advised that the gelding over-relaxed and raced further back than he had expected. BRAT momentarily inconvenienced near the 200m. VALIANCE held tight and eased near the 800m. Lay inwards near the 200m and veered inwards shortly after.
