Stewards Comments:
BOULDER BLOCK, YILGARN PROSPECT, HAKIM LAD and RAIDER were all slow to begin. At the 250m YILGARN PROSPECT was held up behind HAKIM LAD. When questioned regarding the disappointing peformance of LEGEND IMAGE, Jockey D. Grenfell stated that after leaading, LEGEND IMAGE had raced keenly with HAKIM LAD and in his opinion, this had effected the performance of the gelding. Trainer Mr. J. Chilcott advised that LEGEND IMAGE was not suited to this manner of racing and it would have been better suited by being placed behind the leader.
