Stewards Comments

METAL REEF was slow into stride, then raced wide in the early stages, returning having cast its off fore glue shoe. JUST A CATCH was slow into stride and raced wide in the early stages. OBSERVATORY and DOCTOR'S ORDERS bumped on jumping. Approaching the 1450m BALFINE raced fiercely, shifted in crowding JUST ON ICE which in turn shifted ground causing JIMMY FLASH to be steadied. BALFINE broke the cheek strap of its nose band on jumping. Near the 450m NATION WIDE struck the running rail becoming unbalanced. On straightening JIMMY FLASH was held up. OBSERVATORY and BRAVO ZULU bumped for some distance near the 425m. NATION WIDE had to be restrained when runing onto the heels of the tiring VAL DE PRIX near the 250m. EYE ON STEEL propped on pulling up disloging Apprentice L. Robertson.
