Stewards Comments

Shortly after the start, FABULOUS had to ease on the inside of DRUM FIRE. ULTIMAR was crowded on jumping losing ground. Passing the 1300m EARLY BREAK commenced to pull fiercely. When being restrained the mare bumped VINO VINO on its inside and near the 1200m, again cannoned into that gelding and was buffeting outwards, striking a hind leg of OVER QUALIFIED. EARLY BREAK then shifted further out, inconveniencing DRUM FIRE which shifted ground onto REGAL YARN. BUCKTON LAD which was following, dipped and lost ground. FABULOUS and DELRANCHO also had to be restrained at this stage. At the 700m FABULOUS shifted out bumping EARLY BREAK, which in turn struck the hindquarters of DELRANCHO. DELRANCHO had to be restrained behind the tiring OVER QUALIFIED at the 650m and then was held up for a clear run from the turn into the straight until passing the 200m. OVER QUALIFIED was eased down in the straight and was ascertained to have an injury to the near hind flexor tendon.
