Stewards Comments

ZARA LAD commenced awkwardly. DASHING ZEM scrambled at the start and shortly afterwards, shifted in bumping ZARA LAD. Passing the 300m FRATELLO BEAU when attempting to obtain a clear run, shifted in bumping RIDGY DIDGE, that mare then became unbalanced and mis-strode. FRATELLO BEAU was then further held up and near the 150m, shifted crowding RIDGY DIDGE. Jockey was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of ZARA LAD. Stated that after riding ZARA LAD vigorously, the gelding had tired over the final 200m. Trainer stated that he was extremely disappointed with the gelding's performance and could offer no explanation. Connections had supported ZARA LAD. Trainer was advised that horse would not be permitted to start in a race for a period of three weeks.
