Stewards Comments

THUNDIROL and ANN JESS were slow into stride. Passing the 1300m EBONY SALUTE steadied away from the heels of SCANDAL PINK. Near the 1100m GAELIC GOLD steadied when racing tight, between TRUE EXILE and SCANDAL PINK. Passing the 800m COOL NATIVE when striding up onto the heels of the tiring GAELIC GOLD, had to check and shift outwards to obtain a clear run. WINNING CARD raced wide throughout. GREY KATH was momentarily held up for a run behind the tiring SCANDAL PINK near the 300m and then was again held up for a clear run behind TRUE EXILE between the 200m and the 150m. ANN JESS lay inwards in the straight. Passing the 200m EBONY SALUTE lay inwards bumping TRUE EXILE. Jockey R. Farrell (COOL NATIVE) dropped his whip at the 200m. GAELIC GOLD returned with a laceration to the off hind. Due to the poor performance of GAELIC GOLD, Trainer Mr. Joe Miller was advised that GAELIC GOLD would have to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again.
