Stewards Comments

YOPLAY was slow to begin. On jumping TIMELY STAR and DRIFTER'S ESCAPE collided. Passing the 600m TIMELY STAR commenced to lay outwards and approaching the 400m, restrained away from DRIFTER'S ESCAPE. At the 450m SMOKEY IRELAND when endeavouring to go forward, bumped with SET OF KEYS. Near the 400m BETTER lay outwards making contact with the shoulder of MAJESTIC BELLE. THOMPSON'S BAY made the turn into the straight wide. At the 250m when held up behind INDIAN ANGEL, DOUBLE RATE shifted to the outside. DOUBLE RATE raced greenly throughout. THOMPSON'S BAY cast its near fore plate during running. Following the running of the race, the track was reclassified to GOOD.
