Stewards Comments

VOODOO RAVER was slow to begin. DUKE OF DONEGAL raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 200m VOODOO RAVER was momentarily impeded for a clear run. When questioned regarding the performance of MUSTANG TOMMY, Jockey Stephen Miller stated that the gelding was not suited by the slow early pace. He had considered going forward on MUSTANG TOMMY in the middle stages, however he would have had to have gone extremely wide and therefore had elected not to do so. Due to these reasons MUSTANG TOMMY was not able to sprint when required to do so from the 400m and had only made up marginal ground in the straight.
