Stewards Comments

RIDGEWOOD FLIGHT was slow into stride. MONOTONY BOY and KALUMBURU CHIEF bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of BURKELLY GIRL, Trainer Mr. M. Byatt believed that the mare had not run out the 1400m as he would have expected. He stated that this was BURKELLY GIRL's first start over 1400m and the mare's previous best performances were over shorter distances. He undertook to restrict the mare's future races to distance less than 1400m.
