Stewards Comments

ESPLENDIDO reared at the start, losing ground. KNIGHTLIKE threw its head in the air at the start and was consequently slow away. DUOPOLY was squeezed at the start. Passing the 180m ESPLENDIDO, when blocked for a run between SUPPOSITION and ASTI ONYX, which shifted outwards, and had to be taken inwards to obtain a clear run. A veterinary examination of ESPLENDIDO revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. Jockey of LENORI ROAD and Jockey of WEE TIGER advised the Stewards that in their opinion their mounts had not handled the track conditions today.
