SARI TWIG jumped awkwardly. EXIT LANE tended to lay outwards throughout. Jockey advised that the gelding had refused to take a run near the 450m. Jockey was questioned regarding his riding of PLAY DICE in the straight. He advised that he had been instructed not to use the whip on the gelding as it had a habit of resenting its use. PLAY DICE had tended to lay out in the straight and Jockey was of the opinion it was a spent force.
