Stewards Comments

ZARUCHE was slow into stride. STIRLING CHANCE pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 400m NICCOLO shifted outwards bumping MORTON HALL. ON TASMANIA which was following was steadied and became unbalanced and then raced wide on straightening. MEDIC'S REFLECTION was held up for a clear run from the turn into the straight until passing the 100m. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of ROMEO WHYSKY apprentice stated that the gelding over-raced throughout and due to this tired in the straight. MEDIC'S REFLECTION returned with a minor laceration to the off fore. When questioned regarding the performance of ROMEO WHYSKY, Trainer Mr. Reed stated that the gelding did not appear to be suited by the distance and it was now his intention to race the gelding over shorter distances in the future.
