Stewards Comments

LEDBURY was slow into stride and then raced wide throughout. DECIDING CLASS which was racing fiercely, shifted out near the 900m bumping EYE AM. DIAMONDS FOR ALL steadied behind runners near the 800m. Jockey ( BLACK LABEL ) dropped his whip at the 350m. DECIDING CLASS eased near the 200m when DIAMONDS FOR ALL shifted outwards. LEDBURY rolled in near the 175m crowding STANLEY. At the 150m EYE AM which was laying inwards bumped DECIDING CLASS. Shortly after this DECIDING CLASS shifted inwards bumping CYCLONE SNIP. At the 100m CYCLONE SNIP shifted outwards with DECIDING CLASS bumping EYE AM out onto the hindquarters of STANLEY, which became unbalanced. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of DIAMONDS FOR ALL, Trainer advised that DIAMONDS FOR ALL had been unsuited by the track conditions at Northam on 25 July, 2000. DIAMONDS FOR ALL had always performed well at the York track having won here previously. Mr. Ives advised that there had been no stable support for the mare today.
