Stewards Comments

OUTPOST was fractious in the barriers prior to the start. On jumping FORTUNE MESSENGER threw its head in the air, veering outwards inconveniencing GO BUST and TELEGRAPHIC. OUTPOST and DAUWIN bumped at the start. GO BUST was blocked for a clear run between the 500m and the 200m and when being restrained away from the heels of STEEL KARA near the 175m, was accidentally struck across the nose by the whip of Apprentice. FORTUNE MESSENGER was unable to obtain a clear run until inside the 200m. MARVEL lay in badly from the 250m and near the 150m, crowded SHEP in onto OUTPOST. Due to the racing manner of MARVEL, Jockey was unable to ride the gelding out as he normally would. Trainer was advised to take steps to rectify MARVEL's racing manner.
