Stewards Comments

NATIONAL SILK sprung its off fore plate during the preliminary with this plate being removed at the barrier. CAN YOU DIG IT (10/1) was unable to be loaded into its barrier and was subsequently withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 1.12pm. Trainer Mr. D. Harrison's Representative was advised CAN YOU DIG IT would have to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. MAGICAL MARSCAY threw its head on jumping. SWIFT TARA was slow into stride. Approaching the 600m NATIONAL SILK and SWIFT TARA bumped. Near the 450m NATIONAL SILK raced ungenerously and had to be eased off the heels of MARS LILY. NATIONAL SILK was blocked for a clear run between the 450m and the 350m. SWIFT TARA lay inwards for some distance in the straight. A Veterinary inspection of MARS LILY revealed no abnormalities.
