Stewards Comments

NANCY GAYE dwelt at the start, losing considerable ground. RAPID BAY raced wide throughout and lay outwards at the turn into the straight. Passing the 500m APAKALA when racing fiercely, steadied off the heels of RAPID BAY. Near the 200m DEVIL'S LASS shifted outwards bumping STRAIGHT OUT on two occasions. YAZZMAR lay inwards considerably in the straight and lost its near hind plate during running. A veterinary inspection of YAZZMAR revealed nothing amiss. Trainer was advised that the gelding would not be permitted to start for a period of three weeks.
