Stewards Comments

LADY BELVEDERE was slow to begin. KRYSTAL STORM commenced awkwardly. When being steadied passing the 1000m, ARABIAN EXPRESS got its head in the air. DAUWIN and LADY BELVEDERE bumped passing the 700m. LADY BELVEDERE shifted out on straightening brushing CABIN CRUISER. When questioned Apprentice advised that he was of the opinion that CABIN CRUISER had failed to jump well due to racing without blinkers and had therefore been unable to lead although urged forward. Trainer stated that the mare was a natural leader and did not believe the omission of blinkers had contributed but suggested the poor performance was related to CABIN CRUISER not leading. It was his intention to leave the blinkers off CABIN CRUISER and instruct that it be ridden to lead in future.
