Stewards Comments

GYPSY COMMANDER pulled hard in the early stages. BAYWOOD and ZIPMARK were slow intos stride. MIGHT CHANGE bounded in the air at the start losing ground. Apprentice (BLETCHLEY PRIDE) was questioned regarding his handling of that gelding over the final 300m. Apprentice stated that shortly after straightening it was his intention to obtain a run on the inside of BAR SCREAMER. However, he was of the opinion that there was insufficient room at that stage and he had then persevered in an endeavour to obtain a run between BAR SCREAMER and GYPSY COMMANDER until near the 150m, when he eased his mount out over the heels of GYPSY COMMANDER in an endeavour to obtain a clear run. After viewing the film, Stewards were of the opinion that there was sufficient room for Apprentice to obtain a run on the rail near the 250m. However, he had failed to take that opportunity. Apprentice was advised that in future, he must use more initiative or action may be taken.
