Stewards Comments

FAIR ALERT Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. KAPRATS had difficulty in obtaining a clear passage at the 180m. A veterinary inspection revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before racing or trialling again. KENSYL BAY was obliged to race wide throughout. SECRET REMEDY blundered at the start. IRISH PRIDE commenced to hang inwards passing the 400m, made contact on several occasions near the 200m. Trainer when questioned on the tractability of the gelding, stated that it was now his intention to consider a one eyed blinker and a bridle change to improve the geldings racing manner. DARK 'N' DANGEROUS reared as the start was effected, falling backwards dislodging Jockey. The gelding was then caught up in the barrier and took no part in the race. The gelding has since completed a supervised jumpout to the satisfaction of Stewards. GOLDEN DELICIOUS was blocked and held up passing the 400m, was able to obtain clear passage from the 200m and was then inconvenienced and made contact on several occasions. ANOTHER KITE was held up approaching the 100m. GRAND CAVALIER commenced awkwardly, lay outwards and bumped near the 200m. PRINCE OF CHARM bumped on several occasions at the 180m. SHAKE MY HAND was obliged to race wide throughout. Jockey when questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, stated that the gelding had raced fiercely in the earlty and middle stages and he was of the opinion that another runner had made contact with the gelding's hind legs near the 900m. After this the gelding had failed to stride out and for this reason he eased the gelding from the race. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that on return to the stables no abnormalities could be found with the gelding. The gelding has since completed a gallop to the satisfaction of the Stewards. STOCKIE'S YARN was blocked passing the 200m, Jockey advised that the gelding did not appreciate racing in a tight field. HIDE THE HALO was blocked for a clear run from the 250m.
