Stewards Comments

SAMURAI STAR was slow to begin. FAST HANDOVER bled from both nostrils during running. Trainer was advised that the gelding would now suffer the disabalities of ARR.53A. GREY PEPPER was held up from the 300m until the 200m before being steadied outwards off heels. Jockey was questioned regarding the disappointing performance over the concluding stages and was unable to offer any explanation. A post race Veterinary examination revealed nothing amiss. Trainer advised that the gelding had been unsuited by racing over the distance and it was her intention to race the gelding over incresed distances in future starts.
