Stewards Comments

SPANISH GRILL crowded shortly after start. BIG KEV steadied at 150m. FLYING JOHNSON raced wide throughout. MEMPHIS SPIRIT raced wide throughout, bumped at 250m and crowded shortly after. BLUE'S GUITAR commenced very awkwardly and lost ground, carried back by another runner at 500m, restrained for several strides when making ground. LOVE A STORM A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. MYSTIC FORCE bumped heavily at start. CHINKAPINS eased at 300m. DEMANDING ACTION bumped at 250m. LEADING MAN trainer and rider questioned regarding the performance, rider stated that the gelding raced greenly throughout and was unable to quicken from the 600m, he also stated that the gelding was not suited by the distance and would be more competitive with the addition of blinkers and over longer distance. Trainer advised he would race the gelding at an increased distance in the provincial area at its next start. Trainer was advised that the gelding must complete a satisfactory trial. MISS PRIMO bumped heavily at start, tightened at 800m and steadied.
