Stewards Comments

EASTERN STANDARD jumped awkwardly and bumped shortly after. STORMY'S SON threw its head on jumping losing ground, held up at 400m and steadied. Jockey when questioned regarding the performance, stated that after being slow to commence the horse was crossed by another runner and due to thishad raced further back in the field than anticipated. Jockey further stated that after obtaining a clear run from 400m the horse had not finished the race off as well as he had expected and advised that the horse had been slow to recover in which he felt was due to the horse not having raced for a considerable time. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the horse to be slightly lame in the near fore. Trainer advised that he would have the horse fully vetted and report any findings to the Stewards. KIM STORM bumped shortly after start.
