Stewards Comments

BLACK MARTINI when question regarding the performance rider stated the the gelding had not commenced well and in contrast to its most recent performance, had not shown its customary early pace and due to this was unable to secure the lead, obliging it to race outside the leader. Trainer advised that it was now his intention to send the gelding for a spell. STELLA REGALE raced wide on straightening, commenced to lay inwards approaching 300m with rider having to use the whip in his left over final 200m. EDITION tightened having to be steadied passing 300m. SO LONG SYD impeded at 450m and was steadied inwards near 400m. BIG CITATION trainer was advised that the gelding would not be permitted to start in a race in the Metropolitan Area ubtil such time as it shows an improvement in form. FAIR APPRAISAL dwelt at start losing ground, bumped on straightening, crowded and bumped near 300m. NOROSHI fractious in barrier, bumped on straightening and again at 300m.
