KINGDOM'S WAY slow into stride. MARUBOS taken wide on home turn and lay inwards from 275m, as a result bumped another runner, continued to lay inwards for the remainder of the race. PIEDMONT when questioned regarding the performance, rider stated that the gelding was reluctant to hold a position in the early and middle stages and as aresult he was obliged to put his mount under pressure leaving the 800m to stay in touch with the field. He stated that he had advised the trainer that in his opinion, the gelding would benefit form the addition of blinkers, impeded for clear run at 200m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. ZABADANE lay outwards on straightening and steadied off heels at 275m. AUNT LYDIA raced wide throughout. LADY LARA taken wide on the home turn and bumped at 275m. TAKEHEED steadied and shifted outwards to improve at 200m. ARCTIC QUEEN slow into stride.
