Stewards Comments

CIRCLES when questioned regarding the performance, rider stated that the gelding had travelled well throughout and in his opinion appeared to handle the track conditions but did not finish the race off as anticipated. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a laceration to the inside heel of the off hind hoof which required treatment. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before racing or trialling again. RIAWANNA raced wide from 800m.
