Stewards Comments

SMOKEY IRELAND held up from turn into straight until near 200m. RESCUER returned having cast near fore plate during running. ZOLOTO commenced to buck near 1200m effectively taking no part in th race. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to trialling and would have to trial or jump-out to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. COVERTLY raced wide from 600m. BIAGGIO lay inwards in the straight with rider having to use the whip in his left hand.
