Stewards Comments

DANNY BLUE raced wide throughout. CIRCLE VALLEY when questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider stated that the gelding had travelled well throughout but when asked for an effort leaving the 400m it had failed to respond and compounded over the final 200m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer stated that the gelding had won its last start on a heavy track when racing to the outside of the field, but in his opinion it did not appear to handle the soft track conditions when racing closer to the rail. Trainer undertook not to start the gelding in a race for a period of at least two weeks. RONDINE slow to begin. FIMMO'S CROWN slow to begin. Momentarily held up approaching the 300m.
