Stewards Comments

HE'S SMOKIN' blundered approaching the 600m when tightened. CRIMINAL INTENT crowded inwards and bumped near the 900m. SQUAW HUNTER when leaving the track following the race the gelding collapsed and died due to a suspected cardiac arrest. ETCETERA ETCETERA threw its head sideways on jumping losing ground. Impeded near the 150m and shortly after was steadied outwards to obtain clear running and then lay inwards. PINCHBECK bumped shortly after the start. Bumped near the 800m. TREE TOP WALK tightened and bumped near the 800m. MR O'MALLEY bumped shortly after the start. Restrained approaching the 600m. Held up for clear running in the straight. Returned with a laceration to the off hind and having cast its off hind plate. ALPHA NOVA unruly when entering the track for its preliminary with its rider being dislodged and taking an apparent harmless fall. Galloped a short distance before being recaptured by the Clerk of the Course and was then led riderless to the barrier and after undergoing a Veterinary inspection was passed fit to start. Trainer was advised that the mare would have to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. Trainer advised that it was his intention to effect some gear changes for this trial in an attempt to overcome its unruliness. METAL REIGN commenced awkwardly and bumped shortly after the start. Lay outwards throughout and raced wide from the 600m. Returned having cast its off fore plate and having sprung its near fore plate during running. PRINCE OF DANCE commenced awkwardly. TAKEOVER QUEEN lay inwards away from another runner near the 900m and bumped.
