Stewards Comments

OUR NAMATJIRA raced wide throughout. DANEHILL COUNTRY slow into stride. Lay inwards in the straight and inconvenienced near the 200m and carried outwards. ROUGE SKY bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the mare, rider stated the mare had travelled well in the early stages, however it was under pressure from the 500m and felt short in its action over the final 400m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that he would monitor the mare upon return to the stables and advise Stewards of any condition which may have affected its performance today. Following this, Stewards would further discuss the mare's performance to determine it's immediate racing programme. JAUNTY LAD fractious in the barrier prior to the start. ROBOTIC impeded for a short distance near the 200m and was then inconvenienced when carried outwards before eventually getting clear passing the 150m. EARS LOPPY bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout. EUCLASSY THING threw its head on jumping. Rider was shown a film of a section of the race near the 200m and was told to exercise more caution when taking his mount outwards to improve his position in future.
