Stewards Comments

CALICO BLUE restrained and lost ground approaching the 1000m. Returned with lacerations to both hind legs and having cast its near hind plate during running. KING BLUEY impeded for clear running approaching the 200m and again inside the 100m. UNIVERSAL STORM a post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from heat stress. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be spelled. RIDE THE EAGLE tightened for room at the start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. SWING ON raced wide throughout. THE MIGHTY BOOSH jumped awkwardly at the start. CLUNKY HERO restrained and lost ground passing the 1000m. IRON SPIKE bumped at the start. SUMMER SPLASH impeded approaching the 200m.
