Stewards Comments

YA BIG GOOSE bumped near the 1000m. GO JINGLES pulled hard in the early stages and bumped near the 1000m. Raced wide from the 800m. When questioned regarding the performance, Trainer stated that in his opinion the horse was not suited by the increased distance of the event and advised he would endeavor to restrict its racing program to distances of less than 1400m. CHEEKY BUSINESS slow to begin. When questioned as to the poor performance, rider stated that after being marginally slow to begin the gelding was under pressure in the middle stages and failed to run on in the straight as expected. Trainer stated that the gelding is better suited to leading outright in its racing and in his opinion being unable to obtain the lead was the reason for the seemingly poor performance. RUSSIAN SPIRIT inclined to lay outwards throughout. Trainer advised that it was his intention to place a lugging bit on the gelding in an attempt to rectify its racing manners. KALA KWILA commenced awkwardly. Momentarily impeded passing the 200m. UNO BILL raced wide throughout.
