Stewards Comments

BARON ORCZY commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider explained that he had ridden the gelding forward from its wide barrier, however other runners to its inside had not permitted him to cross and consequently the gelding was obliged to work hard and as a result tired over the final 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. ROOFTOP GROSVE bounded on jumping and lost ground. BIRKHALL lay outwards on straightening. DEE PICKED steadied outwards near the 400m. GROUP MEMORY raced keenly in the early and middle stages, having to be steadied at the 900m. Had difficulty in obtaining a clear run until the 100m. HIDE THE LOOT raced wide throughout. Steadied outwards passing the 400m. OUR NAMATJIRA unable to obtain clear running in the straight. STORMY HARBOUR held up on straightening until passing the 200m when taken inwards to obtain clear running.
