Stewards Comments

ZERO ENGAGEMENT raced wide from the 600m. COALSEAM raced keenly having to be steadied near the 2150m. Raced wide over the final 600m. RAMIRO kicked in the near shoulder behind the barriers and after undergoing a Veterinary examination was passed fit to start. POLISH REIGN steadied passing the 550m. When questioned Trainer Ms J. Busslinger stated that she believed the gelding's performance had been adversely affected as it failed to settle in the early part of the race and got back further in the field than expected. She further advised that she was satisfied in the manner in which the gelding had finished the race off as she was pleased with its time over the final 600m and advised she would now race it over an increased distance at is next start ROSSAM steadied outwards passing the 100m. STORM COAST raced wide from the 1000m. THE QUARTERMASTER following the disappointing performance, Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. THERMO KING trainer advised that the gelding had not performed to his expectations and that it would now undergo a veterinary examination and that he would advise Stewards of the results.
