Stewards Comments

HURRICANAURUM raced wide throughout. Lay inwards from the 200m placing its rider at a disadvantage in riding his mount out. JONGUYDON following the unplaced performance rider stated that the gelding had not travelled well at any stage and had raced greenly throughout. He further added that the gelding made a respiratory noise in the straight. Trainer advised that the gelding appeared to resent racing to the inside of other runners and in future he would instruct future riders accordingly. He further advised that it was now his intention to have blood samples taken from the gelding and he would advise the Stewards of any abnormalities. SAMS CHOICE a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before racing or trialling again. THE DREAM blocked for clear running over the final 100m. TO THE THRONE shifted outwards to obtain clear running near the 200m and blocked over the final 100m. GOLD TORNADO slow to begin.
