Stewards Comments

DAKA'S GEM rider explained that the gelding got back further in the field than anticipated due to it being slow into stride and consequently it was disadvantaged in attempting to make ground when the pace quickened from the 600m. RE ENFORCING when questioned regarding the poor performance, rider stated that the gelding failed to stride out during running. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a small laceration to the off hind coronet and to be slightly lame in both forelimbs. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. CALICO BLUE bumped near the 600m. CELTUS raced wide in the early and middle stages. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the horse to have sprained its near fore fetlock. Trainer advised that the horse would now be retired. GOLD WELLS threw its head on jumping. MAGIC HAUL raced wide throughout and bumped near the 600m. SOLAR IMPACT jumped the 1600m crossing.
