Stewards Comments

ST REGIS when questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider was of the opinion that the blinkers may have contributed to the gelding racing keenly in the early stages and as a result he led and compounded. Trainer indicated that it was his intention to remove the blinkers from the gelding and endeavour to have it ridden back in the field in an attempt to have it settle at future starts. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Returned having cast its near fore plate during running. IMA KAHN held up for clear running from on straightening until leaving the 200m. STERLING STREAK jumped awkwardly and lay inwards in the straight. TONIGHT returned with minor abrasions to both hind pasterns. PRICELESSUTI jumped inwards at the start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages getting is head in the air when being restrained passing the 900m. Impeded for clear running from the 600m until the 400m and then unable to obtain clear running in the straight. KIM REWARD raced wide throughout. MISGUIDING jumped awkwardly and veered inwards at the start. THE BLUES TRAVELER slipped and hampered at the start. Impeded for a clear run between the 300m and the 200m. OBTRUSIVE slow to begin. Held up from near the 300m until leaving the 100m. EGATRICE held tight passing the 175m.
