Stewards Comments

KOOYONG ROAD raced wide from the 800m. FAIREST AND BEST raced wide in the early stages. Bumped near the 225m. SHADY STORM commenced awkwardly. Steadied when racing keenly near the 1400m. Impeded near the 250m. Taken outwards near the 125m making contact with another runner. NALINGASON had a tendency to lay inwards between the 400m and the 200m. Returned having cast its off hind plate during running. PESCA ALBERO raced ungenerously in the early stages. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that the gelding had travelled comfortably until asked for an effort approaching the 300m but it failed to respond. Trainer expressed disappointment with the performance and advised Stewards that she would monitor the gelding on return to the stables and report any abnormalities. KADESH jumped awkwardly and brushed the barrier. STAR BUCK lay outwards under pressure near the 225m and bumped. Returned with a laceration to the near hock resulting in the gelding showing mild lameness in that leg. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be spelled. ETERNALISM bumped near the 125m.
