Stewards Comments

ACTION PLAN as the start was effected the gelding ducked its head, commenced awkwardly and then veered outwards unbalancing its rider. Raced wide from the 1000m. When questioned regarding the gelding's barrier manners, Trainer stated that in his opinion the gelding may be resenting the nose band which was fitted on 5 July 2007 and it was now his intention to remove this gear. Under these circumstances Stewards advised Trainer that he was on notice that if the gelding continues to re-offend at the start action may be taken against him. WESTERN FORCE trainer advised that it was now his intention to "freshen up" the gelding and race it over a decreased distance at its next start. KIM JOY held up passing the 600m and further held up from on straightening until passing the 200m. LA SOEUR NOIR held up from the 400m until approaching the 200m and then brushed.
