Stewards Comments

JACKASS when questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider could offer no explanation as the gelding had experienced a trouble free run throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that he would monitor the recovery of the gelding on return to the stables and would not start it in a race for a period of two weeks. RED FISH BLUE FISH lay outwards at the turn into the straight. THE TRUTH HURTS made the turn into the straight wide. BULL DURHAM over-raced and shifted ground passing the 500m. SIMPLY SAM slow to begin. TAKEOVER QUEEN restrained at the 450m. Steadied shortly before the finish.
