Stewards Comments

LOOK HERE TROUSERS when questioned as to the disappointing performance, rider advised that shortly after commencing to ride the gelding out in the early part of the straight, it had failed to respond and felt uncomfortable in its action and he therefore refrained from fully testing his mount. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a laceration to the near fore pastern. Trainer advised he would monitor the geldings recovery and advise Stewards of any abnormalities. LIGHTSPEED LAD rider's whip broke at the 350m and consequently the gelding had to be ridden out hands and heels thereafter. CHEYNE RAE momentarily impeded passing the 350m. COLLIER LAD race wide throughout. COUNTRY JOY bumped on two occasions leaving the 600m. OSTRA LANTO bumped on two occasions leaving the 600m.
