Stewards Comments

DEAR SIR over-raced in the early and middle stages. EVIL LAD lay inwards under pressure passing the 200m. KEY IGNITION raced wide throughout. Rider reported that the gelding raced greenly in running. PETERSBYTHESEA when questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that the horse was under extreme pressure leaving the 700m and compounded in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer undertook to have the horse undergo an endoscopic examination and further Veterinary tests and would advise Stewards accordingly of the results. SPANCIL HILL rider advised that the horse displayed no early speed but did travel comfortably in running and failed to respond to his riding in the straight and did not finish the race off as anticipated. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
