Stewards Comments

BROOME TIME steadied at the 800m turn. SNIP ESPRIT held tight passing the 175m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an abrasion to the off hind hock. Trainer expressed disappointment in the performance and undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery on return to the stables and report any findings to the Stewards. Returned having cast its off fore plate during running. Trainer later advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. OI AUSSIE jumped awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Steadied inwards after improving onto heels approaching the 175m.
