Stewards Comments

BECKS when questioned regarding the poor performance rider stated that the gelding did not travel strongly from the 700m and when ridden along on straightening had failed to respond. Trainer advised that the gelding had been working well and he had expected a forward showing in today's race. would now give consideration to sending the gelding for a spell and advise Stewards accordingly. A post race Veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate. Trainer later confirmed that the gelding would now be spelled. BROKAW slow into stride. CENTRUM rider advised that she fumbled her whip passing the 150m until approaching the 75m and consequently she was unable to ride the gelding out fully during the section of the race. KEYTOMONEY lay inwards leaving the 250m. BLIZZARD RIDGE raced wide throughout.
