Stewards Comments

ELECTRIC GENERAL returned with a small laceration to the off fore fetlock. LOCAL LEGEND over raced in the early and middle stages. RIPPED threw its head on jumping. Pulled extremely hard in the early and middle stages and was restrained from heels near the 800m. ROCK OF CASHEL raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. STORMBLITZ when questioned rider advised that the gelding had lay inwards at the 550m and shortly after this commenced to lose ground quickly and consequently he had eased the gelding down shortly after straightening. gelding to have returned with cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer was advised that STORMBLITZ would require a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to trialling and would have to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. GREY MONARCH raced wide throughout. OROYA GOLD raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages and was steadied near the 900m getting its head in the air.
