Stewards Comments

MAJOBE MAGIC stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. Raced wide from the 800m. A post race Veterinary examination of the unplaced mare revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that after missing the start the mare may have not been suited to racing wide over the final 800m. She further advised that the mare would not start for a period of two weeks and would undergo a full veterinarian examination and she would advise the Stewards of any abnormalities. ELKEDRA had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 100m. KOOYONG ROAD saddle shifted forward approaching the 1200m, resulting in the rider retiring the gelding from the event near the 800m and when easing the gelding down near the 100m, rider was dislodged taking an apparent harmless fall. REMONSTRATE held up on straightening until near the 200m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be sore in the near fore. Trainer was advised that the mare would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before racing or trialling again. SHIROKO raced wide throughout. THE HUCKSTER over-raced in the early and middle stages.
