Stewards Comments

THE BULK BILLER slow into stride. A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding which performed poorly revealed it to be lame in the off hind fetlock. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. OUR MEISTER raced wide from the 800m. SECOND LADY lay outwards for the majority of the race with the saddle shifting sideways slightly from the 300m. Rider was questioned regarding his riding over the final 40m of the event. Rider explained that after riding the mare vigorously in the straight he was placed at a disadvantage due to it laying outwards causing his saddle to shift sideways and as a result he was unable to ride it out fully over the final stages. In all of the circumstances Stewards took no action however reminded the rider of his obligations to ride his mounts out fully to the end of their races in future. GARACHES GIRL held tight near the 900m and was steadied.
