Stewards Comments

DASTARDLY jumped awkwardly and steadied passing the 800m. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider advised that the gelding was under pressure passing the 800m and was most disappointing. Trainer advised that in his opinion the gelding failed to handle today's wet track condition and that it was now his intention to race it over increased distances in an effort to improve its form. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
